Vitamin D3 is a precursor to vitamin D and is converted to its active form in the body. In addition to the known effects on bone structure by calcium, vitamin D exhibits various effects on different organ functions. Vitamin D plays an important role in the normal functioning of the immune system and the inflammatory response.
Adequate solar or UV-B radiation is necessary for adequate vitamin D intake. However, epidemiological studies show a general vitamin D deficiency of approximately 30-60% in the population (especially in the hemisphere north).
Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin. Our technology allows us to include the natural precursor of vitamin D, cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), in the micelles and thus make it soluble in water. This “water-soluble vitamin D3” is well absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract: it is highly bioavailable.
“Liquid Vitamin D3” has an apple-cherry flavor and contains no sugar.
